Thanks to Undergraduate Teaching Assistants in Academic Year 2022-2023

Every year, several students earn credit as undergraduate teaching assistants in courses, working with professors and students enrolled in the class. They lead discussions, tutor students, respond to questions, and help develop course materials. If you have taken a class in Religious Studies that you enjoyed and are interested in the UTA experience, get in touch with Professor Brock Bahler or the professor of the course you took to ask about this opportunity. Undergraduate research assistantships (URA) are also available to help professors with their research and to develop new courses. Thanks to:

Yasmeen Gauri—“Science and Religion” (Dr. Bahler)

Layne Shaffer—"Varieties of Early Christianity” (Dr. Denova

Regina Thomas – “Death and the Healthcare Professions” (Dr. Weinkle)

Rohit Bommisetti (major) worked with Dr. Ben Gordon as a URA to develop his Religion and Sports course that is being offered in Fall 2023.
